THE pull that Earth exerts on every body on its surface is called gravity. The weakest known force in nature, it causes bodies to fall on Earth at a fixed rate of acceleration. It gives weight to objects with mass. Galileo and lsaac Newton were some of the early scientists who tried to explain gravity. Einstein also explained gravity in a different way.
